The Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 54 is played by Paolo Giacometti. The opening of the first movement and entire second movement are slowed down by approximately 33% and 26% respectively. This is the most extreme slowing down to date in the Hatto catalog. Schumann’s Kinderszenen, Op. 15 is taken from Christian Favre’s recording. Most of the Sonata in F minor, Op. 14 is also taken from Christian Favre’s recording, except that Hatto presents the five-movement version of the sonata by inserting the original 1836 second movement from Ian Hobson’s recording. In the Sonata, tracks 5 and 8 have been sped up.
