Capsule Summary
This album features one of the most elaborate patchworks in the Hatto catalogue. Hatto’s Hexameron is divided among three pianists. It begins with Endre Hegedüs and switches to Francesco Nicolosi at measure 37. Nicolosi continues until the penultimate measure of Variation 3. Oleg Marshev takes over on the final chord of Variation 3 and plays through most of Variation 5. Hegedüs then returns and takes the piece partway into the finale. A sped-up Nicolosi takes it from there to the end.
Réminiscences de Norma, which is slowed down, and Réminiscences de Lucia di Lammermoor derive from Boris Bloch’s Accord disc, while Réminiscences des Puritains is by Endre Hegedüs.
